JACY House provides a safe, child-friendly, neutral place for children who need to be interviewed when there have been allegations of abuse. JACY House uses the ChildFirst™ protocol, which is a multi-disciplinary team approach where members from investigation, prosecution, mental health and medical communities collaborate in the best interest of the child and family. Child and Family Advocates at JACY House are present to offer support to the child's family during the majority of forensic interviews. Advocates can provide referrals for mental health services, medical evaluations, and other resources upon request. Advocates are available to assist the family with safety planning, accessing needed resources, understanding the investigative process, and helping guide the family through the court system as needed. JACY House is a program of the Children's Justice and Advocacy Center, Inc. A 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that opened in 2003 as an alternate process to investigations and prosecutions of child abuse cases.
